It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Wallace, A.L.S., Chief Executive Officer on August 23, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Our warmest thoughts and prayers to out to Glenda and the Wallace family. We also offer our support to those friends and co-workers who will miss John dearly. |

Can–Am Geomatics announces the following senior management appointments:
Jacques Dupuis, A.L.S., has been promoted to President of the Can-Am group of companies. Jacques has been with Can-Am for eleven years and previously held the position of Vice President Operations.
Monte Wilson, CA, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. For the past fifteen years, Monte has held the position of Controller with Can-Am.
Jacques and Monte join Reg Butler, Executive Vice President, to make up the Board of Directors for the company.
Over the past 18 months, Can-Am has been updating our management plan. We look forward to future success. |

Bryan Bates receives G.K. Burnett Award

Can-Am would like to recognize Bryan Bates, BCLS, ALS, CLS, P.Eng. for receiving the G.K Burnett Award. The award was bestowed on Bryan for his hard work implementing British Columbia legislation, the Oil and Gas Activities Act and pursuant regulations. The award was handed out during the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors conference in Victoria, which was held during the second week of March, 2011. Since the G.K. Burnett is awarded to an individual by his professional peers, it is considered quite prestigious.

Can-Am Geomatics has opened a new branch office in Fort Nelson, British Columbia to more effectively provide land surveying and mapping services to the energy industry in the region.
The new office is managed by Bill Powley, BCLS, ALS, CLS. Bill brings extensive experience to the position, having been with Can-Am for the past twenty years. Most recently, he has been Project Manager in Can-Am's Fort St. John office. |

Ron Eichel, SLS, ALS, CLS, P.Eng has been elected President of the Saskatchewan Land Surveyors Association. Ron has been with Can-Am for 14 years and is our Swift Current Branch Manager. Congratulations to Ron on his election and to the SLSA in celebrating the 100th year anniversary. |
