As a company, we are committed to conducting our business in a manner that fosters a safe and productive workplace, as well as promoting responsible environmental care.

We believe that all safety and environmental incidents are preventable and that no job is so important that it cannot be done safely. Can-Am maintains current Certificates of Recognition (COR) in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan through certifying partner Energy Safety Canada.

Can-Am is also a member in good standing with IS Networld, Avetta (formerly PICS), and Complyworks.

Due to the remote nature of our operations, Can-Am field crews have access to satellite phones, cellular phones, two-way radios, and SPOT personal satellite messenger. The SPOT units have the ability to track the progress of crews, have crews check in when working alone, and notify management and the necessary authorities in the event of an emergency providing exact GPS coordinates for timely response.

Can-Am field personnel are fully trained with industry specific safety courses. These courses include:

  • Enform H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid w/ CPR & AED
  • Enform Petroleum Safety Training
  • Quad and Snowmobile Safety
  • Line Locating and Ground Disturbance
  • Bear and Predator Awareness
  • Chain Saw Safety
  • Enform Fallers Certificate meeting BC Fallers Standards
  • Numerous other industry related safety training

All field staff strictly adhere to any client specific safety orientations and site requirements.
